True Trouve Blog number 4 8th March 2023!
Its been a while since I wrote the last blog, so I thought a little update on what we have been up to, at the moment stuck in Kent in the snow in March! There has been a lot happening a lot of new equipment to make the production quicker and the boards much smoother. Have been practicing making keyboard chopping boards with some success, so decided to make a present for a musician, which started as a simple project and seemed to grow in complexity.
There are some pictures below with a guitar fret in the top a violin neck inside and of course the keyboard - the board is made from maple, walnut, beech and ash. - not sure this is for a long production run and the number of hours it took doesnt make it a commercial project but great fun as a demonstration board
It was made initially for someone who is a musician, but also has a small kitchen so I thought an opening board, looking like the opening of a piano would be a good idea ......
Some of the build photos
Some pictures of the finished board
Had some great fun building this and something to add to the commissioned boards we are making
